I'm sorry if this comes off as annoying, but I need to get it out before it explodes some other way.
Gomen gomen gomennn~.

Earlier this week I bought Neo genesis mag (vol 13) just because Miyavi was featured at the back cover (and apparently getting featured as the back cover = 2nd main story of the mag). Again, I bought it for the sole purpose of owning anything with Miyavi in it (<-- blind fandom).

Anyways, the day after that I was in the mood to look for new songs since my mp3 player hasn't been too successful in making me happy. So I randomly remembered one of the featured groups in the said Neo genesis, SID (シド). Thus I went to YouTube to check out how these guys look like performing in a PV -- since I'm the type who takes visual aesthetics (is that even a real word?) into consideration when deciding something, next to the impact the artists gave me with whatever PVs I watch first -- and casually typed "SID PV" in the searchbox.

The results came, and I chose the PV for "Sweet?".
And I'm really glad I chose that first, because I fell in love with it instantly especially for the super-hot and super-horny-looking dude with long-ish black hair in the PV and even replayed it. So I looked for their songs around the internet, and thank GOD I got hold of their three albums *ureshii~* and also watched their other PVs and comments (on YouTube as you might've guessed).
I even downloaded (sorry DX!!) 3 of their PVs : Sweet?, Smile and Otegami.

Now.

The thing that actually got me hooked onto SID is this creature who plays bass. I'm greatly amused by his moves and such in their PVs. Plus he almost always has nice hair 8D
I didn't know their names at first (duh) when I first watched Sweet? PV. So I read the comments for that vid, and one of them interests me, it went something like this : "I wonder how Aki manages to look horny in this PV" -- I was really like "Whoaaa...wait there's someone who's like that in there? Replay~" and yep, definitely, the long-ish black-hair-dude does act kinda attractive the 'bad' way (to me -- ah don't look at me like that *hides*).
MWAHAHAHAAA.

But as I researched them further, I found that SID is a pretty interesting band. I even got to read (the translation to) their journals provided by id_iot_s through a link from Batsu.org forums (which I visited as a guest...I guess I should join in as a member now ne) -- and I spent like half of yesterday reading their journals, the most recent ones and the oldest ones (I think) but the middle part hasn't been read yet as of now. 

I got to know each of their specialties, concerns, interests, stuff. It makes me/the fans feel closer to them when they do stuff like blogs because we get to know how their daily lives went, and made them like, uh, 'more-homely' type of performers, since I always used to think that artists/celebrities are living in a world definitely a lot more different than ours. But by getting to read their entries like a close friend's, it reminded me that artists/celebrities are normal people too. 

Therefore now I don't just like SID because of Aki the hot bassist, it's because of the group as a whole. Like they won't do good even if one of them went away, they have to be in this particular form of four to perform to the max, to the highest level for the fans out there. 

...But I still like Aki most (hee).

...there. His 'hotnessism' displayed. The 2nd and 3rd pics almost made my fangirl-mode explode with pure joy and...some feeling...I can't really put into words. To experience the full range of his 'hotnessism' go watch the PV XD and see him from start to end, and deduce your opinion and tell me ne~.

My fav being of course Otegami PV MWAHAHAHAAAAAA~Ki.

So here ends the said explosion. Sorry again for the long rants, I'm really glad I got to sort my mind up although there are parts that I think are still vague. Sorry sorry.

I like SID too!!! They're one of my favorite bands! I LOVE their music, it has such a wide range of sounds and styles. I have the first two albums, but I have get to buy the second one.

Did you really just download and get into them all in just one day? Crazy!

Yeah Aki is really cute, Mao is actually pretty cute too... it's amazing to me because I didn't notice it until later. Mao covers his mouth at lot, because he used to have really ugly teeth, I think that's why. He probably developed a habit of doing that without thinking.

Oh I just realized I didn't say anything about their music!! Wah totally forgot >_< But yeah, I agree they have a wide range of style.

And yeah, all in one day...now you mention it, it was pretty crazy 8D I didn't realize that til you mentioned it!! Like : Tue, bought Neo genesis. Wed, interested in looking for new songs, hence YouTube-ing for SID. Thu, got hold of their three albums and PVs. Fri, read their journals.
...that was a really fast improvement...SHO~CK!!

Eh...I didn't know Mao had ugly teeth before. But it's really nice now, he shouldn't worry. It's just his covering his mouth, really cute XD
And as for Aki, I just changed my cellphone's wallpaper to a screencap of him in Otegami...ahaha.

Can you buy their CDs though? I hate to think that you downloaded all three albums T_T I didn't even know they were uploaded - I bought "hoshi no miyako" when it cameout in 2005, I was in Japan back then and wanted to give it a try. I LOVED it, so I looked for songs from "ren'ai" and couldn't find many online, so even though I was back in the US, I HAD to order it because it wasn't uploaded anywhere.

I don't even know the name of the 3rd one... isn't it like.. Chapter 1 or something?

They are very good at arranging and composing their music too. It all fits so well together! Every song I hear is like perfection! It's interesting though, because Aki is really good at looking super hot, and Mao is really hot too, but he is actually kind of shy, and likes to be as weird and as different as possible, so you don't really see that! He does pull off the weirdness though!

yeah I want to buy their albums too, but here in my country there are not many Jmusic selection other than the really popular ones like Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru and Hirai Ken, then I remembered finding Laruku's 'The Best Singles' collection, but other than that, really like non-existent T^T
As for ordering/buying online, I...really don't know how *hides* plus I don't have my own money since my allowance for every month isn't fixed. (is that an excuse? ...sounded like one to me)

But but!! Since I'm going to US tomorrow for my studies, I'll prolly get involved in eBay or stuff...since a few of my seniors are really into it. I just hope there are SID albums for sale online there. Also I'd like to buy Miyavi's ones -- I went to eBay weeks ago and found out there's someone who put Miyavi's FIVE albums on sale in one go. I was like "O_O -- I must have that!! ...but only when I'm in US since mom and dad won't really let me do online shopping"
...is USD32 cheap when you get 5 albums like in a set?

SID's third album : Play. Chapter 1 is their single although I'm not sure their release date. They're gonna release another single this month titled "Mitsuyubi" if I'm not mistaken (forgot aa~) wait lemme check --

I agree on "(Mao) pull off the weirdness" XD he can really play along with Yuuya "the Comment Devil" in their comments. Although I don't understand what theyr'e saying in there but it's always really funny just to watch their extreme weirdness.

oh man, because of yuuya, I can no longer look at a picture of him and keep a straight face XD

and YES USD32 is VERY cheap for all five albums! That's almost unfair man! here, it costs about $28-32 (but in JPY of course) for an album!
This person must just want to get rid of them, or is hoping that bids will go high.

...I just hope they're still on eBay though, haven't checked it again. But I'm hoping for the price to stay there and in the end in desperation he/she'll accept whatever amount I give >:D
