I'm not as scared

Days til my flight to California : 7

Weirdly I'm not as scared to leave for Cali as I was a few weeks back. I have no idea why.

Probably because before, I was panicking at the lack of stuff I'm supposed to bring/pack into my luggage. Like, I didn't have my Visa and my flight ticket yet, and I thought the process for both were going to be hard and tedious and stuff. But my Visa interview went good (it didn't felt much like an interview btw -- the guy was nice and it was just like a normal conversation over a cup of coffee or something), and I got to pay for my flight ticket on time, just that I have to collect it some other day (tomorrow but I'll get it on Tuesday).

Then my necessities -- toiletries, stationeries, clothes. I think I have them all now, enough for my stay...just that I don't know if they'll all fit into my luggage. I still haven't packed, and my stuff in my room are all scattered. My room looks real messed up now. Haha.

The thought of leaving my family makes me sad, of course, but it's not like I'm leaving them for good. I'll miss them terribly, I admit (especially my lil bro gahhh) but I just have to be strong, remember that I'm in California BECAUSE of them, because of my parents' sacrifice and hard work. So I'm going to study and get my degree, and impress my brothers with it. Heheh.

The one thing that'll make me remember Malaysia most is celebrating Idul Fitri without my big family. Normally we'll celebrate it at both my parents' hometown, along with my other cousins and aunts and uncles. We're gonna play fireworks and visit our other relatives, laugh and tell stories, watch tv together, and critic the show, and all other stuff. But this year I'll be celebrating my Idul Fitri with my friends and fellow Malaysians at a whole different surrounding. Ah well, only two years -- aside from me crying, I'll try to go through it all with as much fun as I can.

What else will I miss...oh yeah, Music Station DX it's on Animax. Do they have Music Station there? Aaah~

Pouring this out makes me feel better. *fuuu~*
So...yeah, 1 week til Cali. I hope any Jrock events will happen near my place. Keke.
