Earlier today, all students of my school got this message :
This is a Safety Alert from Cal Poly Pomona.
University Police are looking for a suspicious person seen near the Engineering Lab, who is wearing all black and reportedly carrying a samurai sword. There are no reports of threats.
A few hours later :
This is a Safety Alert from Cal Poly Pomona. This is an update to the earlier message on Wednesday, April 8.
University Police concluded their investigation of a suspicious person wearing all black seen with a sword.
Police confirmed that individual was NOT carrying a sword and is not a threat to the campus.
Classes are still in session and business continues as usual. No further action is required at this time.
Like WTF, right? XD
And before Ocean Eng. class started just now, some dudes talked about it :
A : Did you guys receive a message from the school safety something?
B : Yeah, my mom called me asking about that.
C : How in the world could they've recognized a samurai sword, of all things?
D : And THEN they said that there was NO swords at all.
A : But you know, a person wearing all black, with a sword, isn't that a ninja?
us : *laugh*
B : They should be like -- "the campus police saw a ninja around campus" or something.
D : And the next thing you know, there's gonna be a pirate around too.
B : Ahaha, that'd be cool!
D : Like make a call and say -- "I saw a person wearing an eyepatch and has a wooden leg...yes, with a pirate hat too."
Hooo God. The police must've had fun today huh X3
