It's been 7 years since the 9/11 tragedy.
I almost forgot about this date until I noticed the Yahoo! News.
I remember the time when I was watching about this on tv 7 years ago.
It was by chance, actually. I was flipping through channels late at night, having just came home from a camping trip and just managed to take a shower.
Suddenly there was a shocking view : footage of the planes crashing into World Trade Center, and the twin buildings just collapsed to the ground, regardless of the people still in or underneath it.
It was breathtakingly scary, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for a while.
It didn't feel real at all, seeing something like that happen on the news channel.
All the other channels were airing the same thing too.
It became sort of like a frantic chase of latest news and updates on real-time tv.
It was so surreal that it's scary.
When coming across 9/11, the thing that will come to mind is :
The loss of many lives and loved ones.
Be it the people who dies during the crash, or the people who died in the war that resulted as a consequence of this tragedy.
If people want to blame this or that group, I can't say anything.
Just that I'd like to say : hate brings nothing to no one.
May the souls that were sacrificed because of the tragedy rest in peace.

Date: 2008-09-11 03:54 pm (UTC)Hate is a really human feeling, but there are so many things still underneath, some say it was set up by the States and all. I just hate this stuff, a lot of grief caused to people because of someone's madness.
RIP.

As for natural disasters, they can't be prevented, can they? But still, people will need to come together to make it through everything safely.
People are capable of doing the greatest deed by helping each other out, but there'll always be some that won't see eye-to-eye on the same subject, ne.

Well, yes and no. Thanks to humanity, nature disasters have started growing bigger by touching the climate matters - global warming. So we can not just blame the nature anymore when also we are meddling alongside with it. Also, there is this soil erosion, fastened by deforestration which causes landslides. Etc. Even so, this doesn't mean we shouldn't give each other a hand to clear our way.
Yeah. We humans need each other. We can and should and must depend on others when needed, we can't always make it on our own. At the same time we develope some I-think-I'm-a-superhuman thoughs inside our heads but for the thruth it goes how fragile we are.
Ah, people. Weird beings.
