I got the hang of subbing! :D I mean, what I did is not the best thing in the world (not yet, at least); but it means a lot to me :'D It's currently uploading, so I'll put up an embed video some lines after this! So I'll leave this entry public :3

YAY IT'S UP!
There's bound to be a lot of mistakes, so if you spot them, please tell me okay? :D

This is from MiMyCEN, the 8th or 9th episode (the guest teacher is Dub Mix Master). I couldn't do the whole episode because there's a lot of technical terms flying around and me being a n00b Japanese learner just couldn't grasp or even guess at their meanings. But hey, have the first 7-8 minutes of the show! XD

Some stuff!

☆ Around 0:15, when I put in 'kood', Go actually said 'de yan' : "Ii koto de yan", instead of "Ii koto da yo". I can't think of any other way to translate it into English, so please forgive the lameness!

☆ Tsuchinoko is basically a Japanese mythical creature...that lives underground, I think.

☆ Shodo (or appropriately 'shoudou') means something like 'impulse' or 'urge'. Hence their reference to 'shodo' in their talk a number of times.

☆ You've prolly already known this, but Budokan is said to be one of the highest level of places musicians hope to play at at some point in their music career! :D Which explains Ken's admiration.

☆ When someone's starting to play the guitar, the skin of their fingertips will gradually harden 8D

☆ At 5:34, Go said "naro" instead of "darou" ("Isn't it?"); and this time I left the Japanese because doing it in English doesn't make it justice, so...any ideas maybe?

☆ 'Mr Chubby', or actually 'Odebu-chan' & 'Kodebu-chan' are nicknames they Ken gave to their Manager XD

☆ If you've never watched MiMyCEN, their Manager is notorious for putting them through a number of random, unplanned events, and announcing his arrangements to them only a short while before the deadline; whatever the guys said lightly or as a joke anytime during the show, the next moment you can expect the Manager to actually make them come true. Like their previous live house concert X'D That's why they quickly said 'no' when he asked about Budokan.

☆ In the previous episodes, when they practiced by playing Stand By Me, the worst player was the guitarist, Go. So this time he's pretty pleased it's Ken who's getting all the bad rep XD

☆ You guys should listen to Naniga Nandemo if you haven't already. It's all sorts of randomness, from what I can understand X'D It's composed by Chirolyn (ex-bassist of hide's support band, HIDE and the Spread Beavers!) and the lyrics are written by MiMyCEN -- so yep, Ken's infamous 'happy face' really appears in the song. They actually combined their separate lyrics into this one :3
