Kumagusu appeal, from venus flytraps to French meals

The final episode of Kumagusu was finally uploaded on v6_unlimited , so finally I finished watching the series :')
There are a few episodes that I'd like to watch but the links are dead now though. Like the episode where a guy who can identify what song it is only by its first beat (cuz in that episode, everyone will be in a quiz and see if thye can do it too)...but oh well.

2008.11.14 : Department stores





Ken : When I go to a department store, I'll always get lost.
Okada : What are you, a kid?



2008.11.21 : Carnivorous plants, college cafes

I squee'd when I saw this -- it's our country's national airlines, MAS!
The kumagusu went on a trip to Borneo to look for carnivorous plants :3
And him taking MAS to go to Borneo might meant he went to either Sabah or Sarawak, where the forests are still dense.




On the video vootage, someone described this plant as : "Beautiful, erotic." LOLWUT.




A lady saw this monkey cup and opened the lid :3




Water inside it can be drank, apparently...only that it doesn't always taste good.
The lady said the water from this one tasted sour lols XD




The kumagusu's hands in this vid, and yes, he's holding a straw.

The kumagusu demo'd the mechanism of a venus flytrap --





-- and Nagano got highly amused :D




So the kumagusu offered them to feed the flytrap, and since Go's the closest...




Go either looks determined or unsure, I'll leave that up to your imagination.
And Ken was asking what bugs were the guy using, to which I have no idea what he answered.




'LOOK I GOT TO FEED A VENUS FLYTRAP I DID IT I DID IT YAAAAAAY!'-face.





And then he wiped his hands on Ken's back XD all while uttering a high-pitched "KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII -- !!"
Yeah I played this part a lot of times because, well, it's a high-pitched Go.

After they witnessed the success of Go feeding the plant, they shot Leader praying for the safety of the bug. I think.
Or maybe he's praying he won't get chosen to feed any of the plants.




Here's a plant that got its prey by being naturally sticky. The black stuff are bugs.
I dunno what it's called in english though...the katakana reads 'doroso film'?




This one catches its prey by waiting...maybe. Bugs will fly/climb into it and they can't get out.
Looks like a calla lily although they're entirely of different species XD




And here's the monkey cups.
In Malay we call it monkey pots; they're called such because it was observed that monkeys drink from these.





The kumagusu was explaining that the monkey cups were like the ones they saw in the video footage earlier.
And prolly remembering the drinking part, and GoKen being themselves, they aimed at a certain someone,
asking "Eh you want to drink from it?"




-- and everyone knew they're aiming at Leader.

Of course he won't want to do it, and since no one volunteered, they played a game where they had to say names of flowers.
And the lucky one who lost was --

INOCCHI :D
So the kumagusu poured the water from the monkey cup into Inocchi's hand, and --

Inocchi : I can't take away my hand, eh?
Go : There's no point in doing that, is there? *smacks butt*
-- yeah, I admit I replayed this part quite a lot too /shameless

Then they changed the topic to college cafes, and Okada being his normal observant self :

Okada : His tie pin is a fork and spoon.
He's the first to notice that lols X3 THIS is the Okada I like ahaha!


Some example of what college cafes offer their students (and faculty members too I guess) :




Rice with hamburger & half-boiled egg? I think.
Ken : In Harajuku though this would cost around 800 to 1000 yen!




Meal set with 2 onigiri and --

Go : *perks up* Is that karaage?
Kumagusu : Yep.
Go : Haaa...that's so good.
-- I guess Go likes karaage? 8D

I have no idea what this is, but it looks so awesomely delicious.




This would cost quite a lot here in Sushi King ahaha...








Oh man. If I studied here I'll hang out here like every day.




BENTO SET I LIKE EEEEETTT WITH TENPURA EVEN GAHHHH





It's open at nights too, and they serve drinks. They even get a super nice night view during the night!




I can't remember where this is...Setagaya?







THIS. THIS IS A CAFE. How come my school doesn't have this? *shot*




200 yen for a choc milk frappe I think. Which is CHEAP.




Tokyo University's on the list of the kumagusu's top 3, it seems!







They have this French restaurant air to the cafe, and they actually have proper French meals served!
The one showed up here, is meat (pork?) with mushroom sauce (dunno the exact name of the dish).

Then V6 got quizzed on how much they think the meal cost. The one who got the closest will get to eat it!
And the winner of the quiz is Ken -- he guessed the exact price, 800 yen!
You know, I think Ken has high luck in guessing prices of things. He guessed a lot of things right during Kamisen's trip to Australia for their SKY DVD, yeah? 8D


After watching all these, Sakamoto said : "I'm kinda pissed at university kids now."


OK then I'm done! Expect another Kumagusu post in the near future ahaha.
I'm getting stressed at the 2005 Summer episode so...that'll wait for a bit. /lazy

I WANT TO GO THERE HOMAIGOD. TENPURA TENPURA TENPURA XDDD and when even Japanese people say the taste is really Japanese, you can't go wrong, can you? *cries*
