Morita, Bin-chan, and barking frogs
2011-03-06 05:53 pmSo there's a species of frog that can bark like a little doggie :3 I dunno if the UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) guy on Kumagusu was talking about this one specific frog species, but nevertheless, yep, a barking frog! This frog has also appeared as one of the 'special animals' on Himitsu no Arashi-chan's super awesome animals special :D
One day, the UMA guy (called Bin-chan by V6 lols) along with our Morita-san went out looking for the said frog. On a tip from one of the locals, they went into a hill/mountain where it's said there has been rumors of barking frogs there.

^ Morita waiting for any 'woof' sounds.

^ 'WOOF'!

^ The face says : "THERE ACTUALLY IS SUCH A SOUND!"
THE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE

^ "-- AH!"
I can't explain the stupid grin that formed across my face when he uttered this X'D

^ Still in unbeliving thoughts XD
Off-tracking a bit, since this is me --

^ HAVE A GIF ♥

^ Since the 'barking' sounds like a small dog's, Go said : "It sounds like a papillon! A papillon!"
The fact that he identifies dog breeds is actually CUTE teehee.

^ Again, THE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Then they visited a frog museum nearby and asked the curator if they have the barking frogs on display (they do!), but since the frogs somehow refused to 'bark', the curator played them a DVD instead. But it did show footages of the frogs actually barking like a dog!
So the rumor of a barking frog is proven to be true :D

^ Go : "Today's trip was awesome, wasn't it?"

^ Bin-chan : "The frog actually said 'kyan' and 'guu' when they barked!"

^ Go : "They really did bark 'kyan guu'!"

^ Go : "It's so cool, frogs doing 'kyan guu'."

^ Staff : "You guys did a song like that, right?"

^ Go : "We did; it's 「Can do! Can go!」"

^ Go : "Probably..."

^ Go : "...we're singing it for them frogs."
-- so another random segment done!
Not so much a translation, but I can't help wanting people to actually watch this segment at least! I mean, yeah Kumagusu isn't that awesomely appealing, and there's no major, one-whole-episode-long sub of any episodes, but I hope by doing bits and pieces people would actually change their minds about Kumagusu :3 It's an interesting series, really!

Date: 2011-03-08 05:06 am (UTC)the thing about Kumagusu is they don't do a lot of outdoor location shoots, so... :( but there's another UMA segment, with Go in it, where they were looking for Nihon ookami [2009.05.01 & 2009.05.08], but the frog one is more interesting to me lols :3 other than that though, nothing much Go-centered...I think.
personally though i like the toast kumagusu -- all the awesome things you can do with toasted bread! X9
