Buiroku's 15th Anniversary!
2010-10-31 05:04 pmIt's November 1st where they are,
which means :

H a p p y 1 5 t h A n n i v e r s a r y
V6
★ ★ ★
For someone who's only been in the fandom for 4-5 months,
surprisingly I feel comfortable with the V6 fans,
which makes me want to support this group even more :)
Feel the ♥ for them and for you ;3

Um...random rant about how I met V6, then? 8D
My first Johnny's love was TOKIO, actually.
It's because of them that I became more open to the world of idol groups -- before this I was all anti-pop, anti-boybands, anti-dance-groups (but am all in for Jabbawockeez though hee), all-hardcore J-rock, band music, all those stuff. But recently (= the past one year or so) I told myself to try and accept things that don't seem familiar to me. For instance, on an interpersonal level, being more honest with people, telling them what I really think instead of holding it in and regretting it later; try to be happy for other people, AND show it -- I couldn't praise people at all before this, srsly.
...wait I'm straying from the main topic here. OK OK back on track --
OK so! TOKIO.
They're a band, they play instruments, thus the transition from the J-rock world to TOKIO was pretty easy. And then came Nagase's act in Tiger & Dragon, where Okada was also there. And then Okada's acting was super interesting, which led to searching about him, which, in turn, brought me to discover a group called V6. Daring myself to listen to one of their releases to know who this Okada, a member of this V6, actually is, I chose Guilty PV.
I never regret that dare I made.
-- so that's basically how I got hooked onto this group. But actually I've just realized that I've heard about them way before this. Or at least a part about them anyways haha :D
When I listened to HONEY BEAT during the early times of getting into this fandom, I felt that it sounded reaaally familiar. I thought that maybe it's an anime opening or ending somewhere, but Googling around I couldn't find any anime with OP or ED with the title. Then I looked at the PV, and it struck to me -- those school uniforms! I know where I've seen them before! -- I saw them on Animax on the local TV! It was Music Japan (around 2007) where Gackt was also one of the guest artists; I remembered cuz it was a school graduation/exam cheer kind of 'special' episode, and Gackt sang this song with the words "sakura blooms" or something :DDD
In actuality, HONEY BEAT was my first V6 song XD
I remembered being very impressed at the number of people around their stage at the time -- hundreds of students in different school uniforms, all surrounding the stage, dancing along to the beat! Even me at that time thought that was impressive XD
Oh and since I didn't watch Inuyasha, so I don't know about Change The World lol. I remembered the first time I heard of this song -- Inuyasha was on TV at that time a few years ago -- I thought : "Waaahhh typical pop band!!" XDDD Me and my brothers were singing along to the words that we can read from the on-screen lyrics though, so that didn't mean we thought the song was bad or anything AHAHA 8D
Also, I thought Okada was my first actor-V6, but nope. My first actor-V6 is actually someone I didn't expect to see again after all these years! Let's go back a few more years before HONEY BEAT -- I guess around junior high, which would be 2002/2003-ish. On our local TV, there was a period where they'll be showing Japanese dramas in the weekend evenings -- the best J-drama at that time was GTO, of course! -- and one of the dramas that they show was The Queen of Lunchtime (Lunch no Joou). I remembered being so immersed in the story that I became sooo hateful towards the guy who played Natsumi's violent ex-boyfriend, Shuuji; to me, he was a total bastard -- he hit Natsumi! But Natsumi still went along with him, why Natsumi whyyy -- ?!
So who was the actor that played Shuuji?
It was Morita Go.
Honestly though I like his acting in this drama more than in their V6 movies and Kuitan; he was more 'natural' in it, imo. But whatever, I don't know much about characters and acting, so I'll leave it at that :3
AND NOW, here I am, in this world where I thought I'd never be in, years before.
-- alright so this is long enough, and I don't think the wordy paragraphs make sense anymore ahaha. But in any case, again, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY V6!
A Reason to Smile today :
Ken's chu ♥ AHAHA *shot*
ps : Oh right I thought of posting part 4 of the GeI! Summer Break SP, but...it'll come later, promise! (Later doesn't mean soon, right? *shot again*)

Date: 2010-11-01 02:00 am (UTC)I love your post, I actually like reading HOW people entered a fandom, coincidences or not, I think its pretty amazing how we all love the same boyband now! :)
I watched Lunch no Joou for Go, but sadly I haven't even reached the part where he appeared. I started watching "Mother" all for Morita Go just because he said he cried while watching that drama, I'm biased.
Okay, this comment is getting away from the main point! :)
ENJOY THE DAY!!! I can't wait for the DVD! XD

Date: 2010-11-01 09:17 am (UTC)The screencap? Yep from their 10th anniversary documentary! :D I've been wanting to use that cap for a while lol. The windows forming 'V6' is too awesome X3
I'm glad you liked this post XD cuz when I read it again it's pretty embarrassing ahaha!
Go only appeared in the later half of Lunch no Joou -- first appearance in the ending of episode 7 I think :3 Don't feel bad, I'm biased too X3 I've heard of Mother! But I can't remember how I heard of it...prolly because Go's in it? 8D
Naw comments straying from the main point are my favorites ;3
HOPE YOUR DAY WAS GREAT! ★

Date: 2010-12-03 07:01 am (UTC)i watched Nobuta wo Produce too, and i pretty liked the story, but at that time i didn't even know about the existence of Johnny's or even aware of anything like idol groups. and i'm pretty sure it'll be quite different -- the feeling of getting into this JE fandom -- if it started with any other groups beside V6 and TOKIO :)
either way, it's a good thing that i got into these two groups' fandom -- other than the already-awesome guys we flail at, the fans really add the awesomeness by being super-great supporters of each other! ★
i'm ranting, ain't i? sorry for that!
but yeah, still, thank you very much for dropping by here :D

Date: 2011-04-27 03:56 pm (UTC)Lunch no Joou is one of my faves! ♥ hehe. I didn't watch a lot of dramas though, but comparing Go's roles in Lunch no Joou and Kuitan, I'll say he does better in Lunch no Joou ahahaaa *shot*
Ehhh Feel Your Breeze is used in Gokusen? Really?! 8D *new fan is new*
You're one of the nice V6 fans too! :D
