chiisanahitoRandom translations from MiMyCEN episode 11 (there's no video on YouTube though) --
In the beginning :
In that episode, they were supposed to show the results of their practice for their song SHODO; whoever makes a mistake will be hit in the forehead 8D And Ken started off bad, so he got the punishment game first (and then came Go; but Ken's is more interesting hee).
*Dasaitama : the spelling is actually ダ・サイタマ, romanized would be Da・saitama, which I think can be read in 2 ways : "The Saitama", or "dasai tama"; dasai means 'uncool' or plainly just super bad. "Dasai tama" can also mean lame balls LOL; to make this explanation 'cleaner' though, lemme just tell you that Saitama is home to two J-League football teams, so interpret however you want XD

Okada : No adults believed me when I told them this story.
Go : Mm.
Okada : So there's a mountain/hill behind my house, you see -- I went there, and I found a white earthworm THIS BIG [ motions with both hands; doing a somewhat circular shape the diameter of a small watermelon-ish...kind of 8D; ]
Ken : NO WAYYY!
[ Caption : White earthworm? ]
Ken : Don't people always say like, there are spirits around or something?
Okada : There are, spirits; but you know, being a small kid, seeing an earthworm THIS big -- [ does the motion again ]
Go : Isn't that a fishcake?
[ Caption : It was a fishcake? ]
Go : Seriously, you sure that was an earthworm?
Okada : Well I thought it was an earthworm, although --
Go : Prolly it's a sacred earthworm or something.
[ I lied here lol. I can't understand what he said here, but the accompanying picture showed a 'glowing' white earthworm with a caption underneath; and I can only read the character for 'God' in the caption, so I just made it up based on that XD; ]
Go : If you saw a white snake though, that'll be awesome.
Okada : An earthworm THIS FAT [ making the motion again XD ] -- I went home crying like crazy!
[ Caption : Srsly, while crying? ]
Ken : Who would cry from that?!
Okada : So anyone who found that earthworm, please inform this address. [ motions the TV program's address that appeared on screen ]

[ Go flicks Ken's forehead REAL HARD. ]
Ken : AH OWWW -- !!

Date: 2010-10-06 01:44 pm (UTC)by the way, i've seen in a japanese dictionary that 'dasaitama' is actually a mix of both your explanations. it's like a colloquialism of dasai + saitama, so it's like, 'lame saitama'. though if ken really meant your former explanation, then that's totally LOL XD
