You know,
I think the people around me are outstandingly awesome.
Most of them have a job by now.
Most of them have useful skills to secure them a place in the career world.
Or at least they have the skills that a lot of people wish they have.
Most of them know what they're aiming for.
Taking examples of people I know :
Moe, my best friend, has gone through a lot of hardships; he sacrificed a lot, he chose a path where most people my age would've not be brave enough to tread on, and even though he knew the risk of it, he stuck with it til where he is now. He really has been working hard to build up his dreams, literally.
Starting off with writing articles for a local music magazine,
he went to a service-ish company answering phone calls,
while at the same time being a guitar techie for a few band shows,
to being a back-up/part-time bassist/guitarist on one fortunate occasion,
and last week he finally got to record a demo with a band he's currently in.
I'm really happy and proud of him :)
Bernard, my classmate, went to Ghana 2 summers ago for a help/aid mission there.
He's also a volunteer for his church group.
And he was a summer intern at Edison, Cali's local electricity company.
Paul, another classmate, has a t-shirt line of his own -- check it out : Paul James :D
James, yet another classmate, man he's ridiculous.
He's currently a thetre manager of a small theatre near LAX.
He loves messing around with SolidWorks, a program for drawing 3D-models and simulation, and he's really good at it. And he loves machines and machining, I think.
He knows Japanese really well.
He's awesome at computer stuff.
He skates, surfs, and snowboards. <-- put those here only cuz i wish i can do those.
Ken, yep my other classmate, builds his own...stuff.
He built his own bed, which he designed with SolidWorks.
He built his own martial-arts-pole-thing.
And he snowboards too.
Joe, my friend and my senior, is kinda cool for an engineering student.
He knows his engineering stuff really well.
He has worked in the engineering field before.
He's one of the representative for Cal Poly's Malaysian students in the Malaysian Student Department of US.
He plays the guitar freaking great.
And don't even get me started on the friends back home who are either already working right now, doing his/her practical, or completing his/hear final year project.
...I dunno, really. It really makes me think : what have I done in my 22+ years?
Ah, this might sound like a plea for attention and/or sympathy, but no, that really isn't it.
Although it doesn't seem that way, but honestly, I'm just evaluating myself.
I'm still searching for my place in the world, really.
Still discovering things that I can do.
DON'T PATRONIZE ME kthxbai XD
(cuz sometimes people need to be harsh on themselves in order to learn on their own.)

I FOUND THE ANIME I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR AFTER ALL THESE YEARS :

Speaking bout anime, currently I'm following :
- Trinity Blood manga
- Eyeshield 21 anime
Trinity Blood cuz the artist, Kyujyo Kiyo, has awesome SRSBZNS-ish srsly beautiful strokes! (fangirl enough?) And also cuz I watched the anime but never really understood what went on, so some days ago I suddenly decided to follow the manga. Tres & Hugue are super cool ♥
Eyeshield 21 cuz...well, cuz I felt like it :3 Unsurprisingly enough, I find Hiruma really, annoyingly, very awesome! I like the way he talks in the anime X3

It rained again today.
After 3 days of perfectly glorious sunny days, the rain decided to stop by again.
I really hope there'd be at least a few thunders and lightnings this time.
And, I get hungry all the time lately.
I blame it on the coldness that is the rain's fault. Haha.
Alright cleaning up the computer nao, kthx :3

- I've never had a job before. Not even a part-time one.
- I don't really have a good working skill. All I can do is operate Microsoft Office.
- Adobe Photoshop? The hardest thing I could do was using the pen tool. That's it.
- Drawing? Nope, nothing's coming out of it as of yet.
- Photography? I've seen a LOT of way better people at it, seriously.
- Guitars? HELL NO. I can only understand technical stuff, but as far as playing even one phrase, I'll fail miserably.
- And to be honest, I don't have a good imagination nor creativity. My ideas always comes from altering/modifying other people's works.
- Also, I don't have social skills, nor proper common sense.
- Plus, I can't even fucking DRIVE. <-- LAAAME D:

Date: 2010-01-28 05:18 pm (UTC)I've based my image of your relying on the Internet and have naver met you in person, hence it's kinda tricky. Still you seem easy-going (not the airhead-type of. ok rofl did that make any sense) in a way in particularly.
Heh I'm bit of a bully, don't feel timid because of that ;)
