hello 2020!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
wow hey it's 2020 & i wish all the best for all of us this year :)

i'm taking a day off work today (2nd Jan) because its my daughter's first day of school and being the clingy parent that i am, of course i wanna see her off & check out how she'd be in a new environment.

well she started off okay but that could be she's just terrified of everything (new place! new friends! new place! who is that? where is this? how do i do stuff here? all those anxieties, i get you lil kid); then when the teachers called everyone to assemble, she finally cried lol and we almost did too but life's tough and so we had to leave her to the teachers (the teachers preferred us to leave anyway so).

well no matter how we prepared for everything (i always talk to the kid about new school, new friends, what to do, etc; bought school stuff with her; brought her to this school to get a hang of how it looks like...) i guess we're never really prepared until the time comes when we have to actually face it heads-on eh.

after dropping off the dad at work, i went to visit my mom's grave just to update her on my daughter's first day of school & offered prayers and stuff. i still couldn't get over her leaving us -- 2.5 years already actually -- but i guess this kinda thing will never heal eh. i still have this idea/image (?) in my mind where she'll suddenly just return home and life will continue as normal. but that's what people call a wish, isn't it?

then i went...thrifting lol. yeah i went to a few thrift stores just to have a look around and i got some clothes for really cheap. some checkered shirts & cardigans, and even a backpack :3

so! this has been my day thus far. wow when was the last time i wrote about my day this detailed hahahahaaa.
