chiisanahito: (aoi uruha)
Haro.
Yep, more thoughts on LEECH, the song by the GazettE.
For some weird reason, I am suddenly interested in putting a lot of thought on this particular song.

I have no idea why.
At all.

Anyway.
On their photoshoot for MusiQ vol 15, there was a part where Uruha said a bit about the guitar play for LEECH.
From what I understand (with my miniscule knowledge in Japanese), he said something along the lines of :

The two guitars in the song, they're...how do I say this? Sort of, like a battle, yeah.

And that's exactly what I thought when I listened to LEECH again and again for some time, a week or two ago.
I wrote in an entry before that somehow I was more interested in the guitar play for the song instead of the song as a whole, and it turned out that what I was focusing on wasn't wrong at all.
I mean, if they (at least Uruha and/or Aoi) meant to make the listeners take notice of the battling guitar plays, then they certainly did achieve their goal of that.

I want to be one of the people who could properly receive what they want to give.
I mean, if they want the listeners to get 'this and this' kind of message through a song,
then I want to get that exact message, that one which says 'this and this'.
Since they're working hard on that song, I want to fully grasp everything about it --
to feel what they want people to feel,
to pay more attention on such and such part of the song if they want to,
stuff like that, you know.

I know that sounds kind of obsessive, but for me, personally I really think the GazettE is a band worth doing so for.

Also, more thoughts on the GazettE :

I read translations of interviews on [livejournal.com profile] gazette_media (various SHOXX magazines, particularly), and I think that they are a band that interacts the most with the audience AND the staff.
Okay, I may be biased here since I don't follow many bands (in fact, the only bands that I follow, though not as closely as the GazettE, are alice nine. and SID), but from what I can see as I watch their four lives (MRD til RCE -- not attending in person of course), the staff is greatly appreciated as a part of the band, not just as fellow workers under the same company. And their everlasting appreciation for the fans is really awesome.
I say that because I don't notice other bands mentioning about the staff, the people working backstage, let alone the lighting people, etc.
Maybe it's just me and my small world, but I think I can safely bet that even if there are other bands who do so, their level of gratitude will not be the same as the GazettE's.
That sounds rude and boastful, but that's just my opinion.

Plus, I've only started listening to them like six months ago, so there should be a lot of stuff that I still have to find out and learn about them, but up to this point, from the little info I could gather, I can see for myself that I'll not regret following the GazettE.

Mm, this turns out to be kind of touching.
Aah.

A Reason to Smile today :
